On second thoughts, it's even scarier that sometimes they can attain power without being elected and no-one is angry enough to remove them. Mentioning no names...
Drunk or what? Christ, we all like a drink but this is ridiculous. Mind, what I do take exception to, and I think it's beginning to look faintly silly is that every time a local Tory either makes a comment or says something in council, it's always "This Lib-Dem run council". No need to labour the point, we all know the LD's have been in power since 1986, so how about cooling it?
Tisiphone has a point but the calibre of council candidate is now so low and the powers of councils so small plus an uninterested and rather feral electorate (so there is no chance of recognition or a sense of achievement) that there will be am imcreasing number of poor cabibre councillors

I behave better than that when I'm drunk! Not that I'm suggesting any of those councillors were in any way under the influence...
I thought she did appear to be drunk. It just goes to show how easily the cretinous/mentally ill can be elected by a careless electorate.
